I have just done the VARK questionnaire, this is the second time I have done it and have been identified again as having a strong preference for Reading and Writing.
This was my way of completing my modules in my first year of doing the HNC.
My least favourite way of learning which was shown by my VARK scores, is group discussions. I like to listen when in a group and only speak when 100% confident that what I have to say will make a difference. I also take notes when in discussions.

Yes, speaking out in groups does take confidence, but you are entitled to your opinion even if the others disagree! You do have age in your favour, as I know when I was at uni, the other students were more likely to listen just because I was older and had more life experience. It is good to try and develop this skill - particularly if you are involved in committee work within your work environment, as you need to have a voice!
